Josh Erickson's Ordination

The Presbytery of Great Rivers and 2PC invite you to the ordination service of  youth director, Joshua Stephen Erickson. Please join us on Sunday, April 11 at 4pm to honor and celebrate the occasion! Group Sale

The 2010 Group Sale is just three weeks from now! The Group Sale is now raising funds to support the Chancel Choir Summer Tour and the 2PC.YM High School Mission camp. So hopefully you'll be able to come out to support the sale this year!

PLEASE SAVE THE DATES FOR THE FOLLOWING VERY IMPORTANT GROUP SALE EVENTS:

• Sunday April 18 at 3pm - Truck Loading Party - Meet at 2PC to help load up the trucks with the racks, tables, chairs, and other items that need to be taken over to the Sale Barn. This is an all hand on deck activity.  Dinner will follow as part of dinner, documentary, and discussion night (information on this below).
• Monday April 19 at 9am - Sale Barn Set-up - Meet at the Sale Barn to help get the set-up done!  Everyone is welcome to attend this important set-up time.
• Monday April 19-Friday April 23 from 9am-8pm - Group Sale Work Hours - Come help sort, stock, and organize the sale items.  People of all ages are welcome. 8th grade students and younger need to be supervised by an adult.
• Saturday April 24 from 7am-2pm - 2010 Group Sale - Please sign up to help work the actual day of the Sale.

2PC.YM Parents Dinner, Documentary, and Discussion

Featuring "Growing Up Online" - PBS Frontline Documentary

Sunday April 18, 2010 at 5pm in Fellowship Hall

All parents are invited to attend a special dinner and discussion night about the online world that teens inhabit these days.  "Growing Up Online" is a PBS Frontline Documentary which "peers inside the world of this cyber-savvy generation through the eyes of teens and their parents, who often find themselves on opposite sides of a new digital divide."  A pizza dinner will be served for all parents and students at 5pm ($4 donation per person).  Then separate programming for high school students and parents will follow. The parents will view the documentary with discussion to follow and the students will have their regularly scheduled programming.  The evening's programs will conclude at 7pm. Please contact Josh Erickson with any questions about this event.

Please plan to attend the Group Sale tables and equipment load-out at 2PC and then to stay for the dinner, documentary, and discussion night which follows.

Looking for a summer intern!

2PC.YM is looking forward to having a summer intern once again! The job description and application information can be found on the website.  Do you know someone who would be a good fit? Pass along the information to them! Applicants must be entering their junior year of college or beyond to qualify for the internship.

Saturday April 17, 2010 - Commissioning Class Statement of Faith Workshop (Fellowship Hall @ 2PC) - Commissioning Class students and mentors are required to attend this workshop where they will work on the student's statement of faith.

Sunday April 18 - Choir Sunday at 2PC - One service at 10am. Call time for Carillon Choir is 8am to get choir robes. No Sunday School this day.

Wednesday April 21, 2010 - Powerhouse at Group Sale - Meet at 2PC at 5pm and pick-up at 2PC at 7:15pm. Transportation and dinner provided.

Sunday April 25, 2010 - Group Sale Waffle Celebration 10am (Java Post @ 2PC)

Sunday April 25, 2010 - Commissioning Class @ 10am (Staff Lounge @ 2PC) and Session Examination Preparation Class @ 12pm (F100A) - lunch served.

Tuesday April 27, 2010 - Commissioning Class Examined at Session - 6:30pm (Fellowship Hall @ 2PC)
