Fundraising Opportunity for 2PC.YM High School Summer Mission Camp

2PC.YM is excited to launch a special fundraising opportunity for the students who will attend the 2PC.YM High School Summer Mission Camp in Grand Rapids, MI.  2PC.YM is partnering with Market Day for a special Pizzeria Uno frozen pizza sale.  Families should have either received a letter in the mail with the information and details for this sale or it was hand-delivered to your student. This fundraising opportunity is available to all current 8th graders through seniors as those will be the grades attending the mission camp this coming summer.  This is a great opportunity for families to subsidize the cost of the mission camp. 2PC.YM Winter Retreats

2PC.YM is excited that both junior high and high school students will be going to Winter Extreme at Timberlee Camp in East Troy, WI. Winter retreats are a great time for students to reconnect with Christ and getting their priorities back in proper order. The high school students and their leaders will attend Winter Extreme on January 29-31, 2010.  You can find the forms here for the high school retreat. Registration deadline for the High School Winter Retreat is Friday, January 15, 2010. The junior high students and their leaders will attend Winter Extreme on February 5-7, 2009. You can find the junior high retreat forms here. Costs, registration information, and trip details can all be found on the 2PC.YM webpage. Registration deadline for the Jr. High Winter Retreat is Friday, January 22, 2010. Please contact Josh with questions about the program and contact Janice Bauder with questions about registration.

2PC.YM Spring Sunday School 2010

2PC.YM is excited to join the rest of 2PC in a year of "Learn the Word, Love the World."  On Sunday mornings at 10am, the students of 2PC.YM will be engaging in year long quest of answering the following questions: What? So what? and What now?  In other words, what does the Bible say, what does it mean to us today, and how is my life going to change or how am I going to help change the world because of what it says.  An official schedule will be published at the beginning of 2010. Your students can plan on attending the first class on Sunday January 10, 2010 in Grace Hall at 2PC.

2PC.YM Summer in January 2010

All parents, students, and their friends are invited to come to Grace Hall on Sunday January 24, 2010 for a special Summer 2010 Preview Event. At this meeting there will be discussions about summer camps, fundraising opportunities, Group Sale 2010 and Choir Tour 2010. The meeting will run from 12:15-1pm.  Please make every effort to attend this meeting, as it will be the first opportunity to get questions answered about summer 2010.  In case you are already looking for dates, High School camp is from July 4-10, 2010 and Junior High Camp at the Great Escape is July 12-17, 2010.  Looking forward to seeing you at Summer in January 2010!

Commissioning Class 2010

Commissioning Class 2010 begins January 10, 2010.  Parents, if you have not yet turned in the paperwork for your student, please do so by Wednesday, December 23.  This includes a completed Commissioning Class Retreat registration form with payment,  return signed copy of student-mentor covenant, and a 2009-2010 2PC medical release form if you have not done so already. Please leave all paperwork at the church office for Janice Bauder, assistant to 2PC.YM and 2PC Kids.

High School Fellowship Update

Many families will have received a letter with an update about High School Fellowship and the need to institute a semester food fee to support the weekly dinner.  If you did not receive this letter but wish to register your student for Spring semester, please contact Janice Bauder for more information or visit the website to view the letter.  Please see end of this e-mail for contact information.

Sunday January 3, 2010 - No High School Fellowship and No Sunday School Classes for youth

Sunday January 10, 2010 - Youth Sunday School - Spring Semester 2010 Kick-off of Learn the Word, Love the World - 10am (Grace Hall @ 2PC)

Sunday January 10, 2010 - First Fellowship of Spring Semester 2010 - 5-7pm (Grace Hall @ 2PC)

Chancel Choir will resume practices on January 13, 2010 and will be off from singing at services till then as well.
