Adult Christian Education
Every Sunday morning there are open adult education opportunities offered from 10:00-11:00am. You are welcome to come any Sunday. For current adult education offerings, check the weekly newsletter (The Pulse) or contact Dr. Don Crittenden, Director of Discipleship and Mission.
“You shall love the Lord with all your heart, and with all you soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30-31
With these words, Jesus laid the foundation for Christian education. Growing and being transformed by the Sprit into more Christ-like disciples is crucial to the life of faith. The goal of adult education at 2PC is to create learning opportunities for adults that will help them grow in their hearts and minds. The class and group types listed below have been established to meet the diverse educational and spiritual needs of the church.
Biblical Faith Foundations
This Bible study class is for those interested in deepening their knowledge of scripture while focusing on the biblical foundations of the Christian faith. The truth of God’s word and it’s relevance in our lives is revealed through the in-depth study of major biblical themes, events, and people.
Walking the Word: Discipleship
This class is for those yearning to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. Being a disciple means daily putting your trust in Jesus, growing in His likeness, and committing to obey and serve Him. Using biblical truths, participants will be given the tools and encouragement to actively and practically be the hands and feet of Jesus in our world today.
Topical Christian Study
This class is for those with a passion for exploring diverse subjects that will enhance their Christian experience. The class will deal with specific topics that directly impact how we view ourselves and the world around us. This material, as seen through the lens of Christianity, will be both thought provoking and challenging to those seeking to live a life of faith in a secular world.
LifeGroups
These groups are for those who are interested in bonding with a fellowship of believers while studying various faith-related topics. A combination of study materials and group discussion will be used to encourage participants to pursue their faith in the company of supportive friends. Some groups are part of the 2PC Small Group Ministry which also focuses on the prayer and the service component of group life.
