Prayer Quilt Ministry

The mission of the Prayer Quilt Ministry is to provide a hand-tied quilt to Second Presbyterian Church members who are going through a physical, emotional, spiritual or other life crisis. The prayer quilt is first available at the Friday Prayer Lunch and immediately following Sunday church services. Participants are asked to offer a prayer for the recipient as they tie a knot in the quilt. The goal is to literally cover the recipient with the prayers of church members.

Two quilt-sewing groups meet at the church once a month. Sewing experience is not necessary and new members are always welcome. Donations to the ministry (money, cotton fabric and sewing supplies) may be sent to the church office.
