The holiday season brings a special type of pain to those who have lost loved ones. Join us on Sunday at 2:30pm for the Service of Remembrance and Hope where we recall the lives of those who have gone before us and share the hope we have in Jesus. Christmas Memorial Poinsettias For Sale
It's time again to place an order for Christmas poinsettias. If you would like to honor someone's memory with a poinsettia, order cards are located at the Welcome Center and front desk. Poinsettias will be displayed in the Sanctuary for the Christmas Eve services. The order deadline is Sunday, December 13 and the suggested donation is $10. Thanksgiving Day Dinner and Service (11/26)
Spend Thanksgiving with your church family this year! 2PC will hold a worship service at 10:30am, followed by a scrumptious Thanksgiving meal at 11:30am. Tickets for the meal are on sale now at the Welcome Center or front desk and are $5 apiece. Come enjoy meaningful time together where we celebrate all we have to be thankful for!

2PC Christmas Decorating (11/28)
It's that time again! 2PC needs your help to decorate the church for Christmas. On Saturday, November 28 at 10am, meet at 2PC and get ready to deck the halls! Everyone is welcome to attend (and to bring a friend).

Advent Dinner and Congregational Meeting (12/2)
Celebrate the advent season and enjoy a delicious meal at 2PC with your church family. Doors open at 4:45pm. Adult tickets are $7, children under 12 are $4 and the family maximum is $24. Tickets are on sale at the Welcome Center and front desk. The meal will be followed by a congregational meeting at 6pm for the installation of new 2PC officers. Childcare is available for children up to 5-years-old during the meeting. Following the meeting, there will be a program featuring the 2PC children and youth choirs.

Illinois Symphony Orchestra Candlelight Concert at 2PC (12/5)
Take time to slow down and experience the season with ISO's annual Candlelight Concert. Music by Handel, Haydn and Ferrandini will transport us to Christmases of yesteryear, and we join together for our first Messiah sing-along followed by seasonal carols. Call 434.2777 to reserve your tickets today! The concert begins at 7:30pm on Saturday, Dec. 5. 2PC's Chapel Choir will assist in leading the sing-along portion of the concert.

Adult Events

Friday Prayer Lunch (Every Friday)
Join us on Fridays at 12pm in F100B to share joys and concerns of 2PC members. Chef Paul provides an excellent meal ($5), there is a review of current prayer concerns and the fellowship can't be beat! Everyone is welcome! Please RSVP to Kim Pare (828.6297 or kim.pare@secondpres.info) by Thursday if you plan to attend.

Parents' Morning Out (Event: 12/12, sign up deadline: 12/2)
Kids enjoy a great morning of crafts, games and cookie decorating while parents enjoy some time for Christmas errands! This event is open for children six-months-old through fifth grade. Sign up at 2PC or email ashley.barnish@secondpres.info. The sign up deadline is December 2 and the cost is $10 per child with a $25 family maximum.

Pastors' Open House (12/6)
Enjoy a meet and greet with fellow 2PCers, and get to know the 2PC pastors. Andrea and Dean Kladder will be hosting this year's open house at 609 E. Monroe St. in Bloomington on Dec. 6 from 2-5pm. The Kladders' home is 4 blocks east of the church and parking is available in the 2PC lot.

Advent Conspiracy Class (December 6, 13 and 20)
Learn and discuss how to engage more meaningfully in the advent season and Christmas. Worship Fully. Spend Less. Give More. Love All. This class is hosted by Merge and dot.com but is open to all. This class will meet at 10am in the Parlor on December 6, 13 and 20.

Powerhouse Schedule
Powerhouse will not meet on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2. Powerhouse will meet on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16. Please email janice.bauder@secondpres.info with any questions.

Kids' Events

Operation Christmas Child: Mission Accomplished!
Powerhouse and Kids OK have filled 72 Christmas boxes for Operation Christmas Child. All of the 2PC Kids and 2PC.YM boxes are under our Christmas tree and are ready to be sent out to children around the world on November 23rd to spread Christ's love!

Kids of the Kingdom Schedule
Kids OK will not meet on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2. Kids OK will meet on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16. Please email miranda.frank@secondpres.info with any questions.

Wanted

Unique Nativity Scenes
Do you have unique or special nativity scenes? If so, we would like to put it on display Dec. 13 to accompany the Lessons and Carols services. Please contact Nancy at nancy.harvey@secondpres.info by Dec. 6 if you are interested.

Clad Tidings Donations
2PC's donated clothing supplies for Clad Tidings are in need of replenishing. 2PC is in serious need of Large, XL and 2XL winter coats for men. We also need jeans and boots for men of any size.

Volunteers Needed for H.O.P.E.
Volunteers are needed to work as facilitators in the H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Parent through Education) Program. There are more women in the program than can be currently scheduled, and phone calls are received every day from more young women wanting to enroll. Would you be willing to give three hours a week to help us reach out to these women and their unborn babies? Go to www.hopeforafuture.com or email volunteer@hopeforafuture.com for more information.

Holiday Helpers for YWCA McLean County Senior Citizens
The YWCA will again be providing over 150 holiday gifts to senior citizens participating in their Home Based Services program throughout McLean County. If you are interested in making a donation (either monetary or a requested item) or volunteering to help deliver the gifts, please contact Vicki Hightower at (309) 662-0461 ext. 265 or vhightower@ywcamclean.org.
