Ezra 4:1-5

 

5/9/10 “A Story of Opposition”  (Sermon #4 from “Let Your Light Shine!” series)  Texts:  Ezra 4:1-5 (primary text); Ephesians 1:15-21

When the Israelites returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple, they faced opposition for more than 18 years, but remained steadfast in order to finish well what they had started.  The Second Pres family also faces opposition from forces such as fatigue, fear, and the downturn in the economy as we think about the Let Your Light Shine capital campaign.  This narrative-type sermon explores how it is that we can defeat this opposition and finish well what we have started.
