Micah's World

8/8/10 “Micah’s World” (Sermon #7 from “The Prophets for the King” series)  Texts:  Micah 4:1-5 (primary text); James 4:1-3

 

The prophet Micah dreams of a world where sword are turned into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks, where everyone lived in peace and prosperity.  The world Micah dreams of is very different from our world, and although we will not experience this world until Jesus returns, we can make choices now which help us to live into Micah’s world.  The sermon concludes with a discussion of Dr. Hardwick’s experience at the PCUSA General Assembly on the Middle East Peacemaking committee.
