Romans 10:9-15

8/7/11 Sermon “Footloose” (Sermon #11 from “God’s Mission Unveiled” sermon series)  Primary Text:  Romans 10:9-15.  Secondary Text:  Isaiah 52:7-10

In this passage, Paul ties together a chain of events which happens for salvation to occur.  Someone (typically a church) sends; someone else preaches; someone else hears; that person believes; that person calls on the name of the Lord, and is saved.  The sermon challenges the listeners to think about how it is that Second Pres as a church can do a better job of sending, and how we as individuals can do a better job of preaching, in order that others would hear, believe, and call on the name of the Lord.
