Who Do You Say That I Am?

9/25/11 Sermon “Roadblocks” (From “Who do you say that I am?” sermon series)  Texts:  Mark 10:27-27 (primary) and Deuteronomy 5:1-2, 5b-10

When “Rich” runs up to Jesus to ask what he needs to do to go to heaven, he demonstrates that he is willing to think of Jesus as teacher, but not Lord (master).  His wealth was a roadblock for letting Jesus be Lord.  This passage challenges us to consider and pray about what roadblocks we have which keep Jesus from being Lord over us—and what steps we can take to make sure we reach eternal life.
